On a rainy day, a couple of days after turning 50, I had an epiphany: no more explaining myself, wanting to be liked or chasing people. And the big freedom rollercoaster ride of life began. We moved, packed my studio, kids changed schools, and I started surprising new projects. All that happened as a result of living from the center. I wanted to paint what that felt like, and it looked like this— big and bold, with surprise color choices and color mixes.
